Laila Side Table

From The Shehrayar Collection this is the Laila side table in Walnut and Palisander. As with the Laila screen each side of this simple cube has an Arabesque design that is part of a larger design which was enlarged many times to achieve an abstract modern feel which contrasts with the clean lines of the cube.

Measuring 55 X 55 cms this table is quite versatile, it can be used as a night stand, or several cubes can be grouped to form a bigger coffee table.

Very lovely, and truly versatile.

Hi Jen
Thank you. Yes we do ship all over the world.

I had just assumed that you don't ship as far as Canada. Now that I know you do, I'll take one of everything, please :-D Starting with the Exclamation Point table!!

Love the Laila side table. I think it would look awesome over a cube ottoman in a contrasting colour, to make the beautiful Arabesque design stand out even more. Bright lime green would be fabulous against the colour of the wood :-)

Yes we do Kelly and your shipment of about 30 pieces is on it's way :)

you keep giving us ideas. Love the ottoman idea, only thing is that you have to lift the whole table everytime ytou want to use it unless we come up with a solution!!

Yay!! I'll get the money to you as soon as I win the lottery ;-)

Is there some way you could hide hinges on the inside so that a side of the table can open to slide an ottoman in and out??

Another option for adding colour would be to insert panels of fabric in each square.

Don't get me wrong, the table is gorgeous just as it is!! Just doing some thinking outside the box, so to speak :-)

Thanks Ghaleb. I have always enjoyed hearing your opinion about my designs.

Kelly, your idea is great and can be done with the proper hinges as you said.
Actually we have done something similar to what you are describing. Not with this table specifically but with another design, it was a cabinet that had doors which had an open design like this one with fabric on the inside, we have also added panels of colored glass to another design, also with doors. Will try to see if the pictures are ready and post them.

I could see an entire collection designed around that.
A room divider, a sliding partition, a hand painted wall with that pattern as a silhouette - all in a sea of texture.
love it!
